The Bolts

Irvine, CA  USA
November 17, 2007
The Bolts are a modern rock band who walk the fine line between classic and contemporary with enough finesse to pique the interest of even the most jaded of hipsters. Fusing the best elements of Queen, The Beach Boys, Muse and The Killers, The Bolts have created a distinct and energetic, powerful pop-rock sound that earned them acclaim as "LA's hottest new band" according to LA Weekly.
Band/artist history
The Bolts is founded by brothers Addam Farmer, Heath Farmer and Austin Farmer. While spending years performing and writing music for many of their other groups, the three Farmer brothers decided to invest the majority of their time, wits, and creativity in a group that featured the three of them together along with their good friends and talented musicians Ryan Kilpatrick and Matt Champagne. Members of The Bolts have co-written a song that had been played a number of times on KROQ 106.7FM and have also performed at Disneyland's Tomorrowland Terrace Stage, The Grove of Anaheim, Universal City Walk's BB Kings, Downtown Disney's Jazz Kitchen, The Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, The World Famous Troubadour in Los Angeles, The Roxy in Los Angeles, and many other well renown venues. In addition to this, they have opened up for acts including One Republic (Columbia Records), Family Force 5 (Warner Brothers), Third Eye Blind, David Cook, Jimmy Eat World, and others. The Bolts have earned the title of Orange County's Best High School Band and have also been nominated for Orange County's Best Indie Band by the 2007 Orange County Music Awards. In addition, The Bolts recently won OCMA's Best Pop Act. The Bolts continue to promote themselves, record themselves, and perform regularly.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. We have played at House of Blues, Chain Reaction, The Whiskey-a-Go-Go, the Roxy, and a very special venue, the Tomorrowland Terrace at Disneyland, CA. The Tomorrowland Terrace gigs are especially fun because we get to play INSIDE the Disneyland park, so it's a unique experience getting to perform your own originals in the midst of a captive audience.
