= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = We are a classic rock and blues band playing in the NYC metropolitan area.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band's roots go back to December 2004, when drummer Ron Grizzuti was lucky enough to score a complete Pearl drum kit, for free. He teamed up with guitarist Jimmy Ryan and together they began pestering almost every musician they knew to jam with them. They started out playing in Jimmy's basement. Guitarist and vocalist Joe Filocamo joined the line up in February and, by April, guitarist and singer Roger Wilson, additional drummer Pete McCann and harmonica player Mike Bauer had become regulars. The band moved their practices to Filocamo's B.R.A.T.Z., a catering hall in Metuchen, New Jersey that specializes in children's birthday parties. The group played their first gig in June of 2005, and guitarist Jim Cirrincione joined the band in July.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, usually in the Central Jersey, Staten Island area. Playing live is our purpose, so, yeah, we really enjoy it.
Your musical influences
We play classic rock covers, some blues, with a few original songs sprinkled into the mix.
What equipment do you use?
We use a whole bunch of equipment. Briefly: Jay Turser, Fender Squier, Ibanez and a Seagull S-6 lead and rhythm electric guitars. Various basses. Peavey, Park and Fender amps and PA. Pearl drum kit.
Anything else?
We are a laid back, fun loving band that works hard to please the people that listen to us. We aren't about flashy clothes or spitting blood onstage. Just good, solid rock and blues the way they were meant to be played.
