The Bluesbirds Band
We're a band of guys who just like to play, listen to and write music.
we are going to try and put out a c.d. soon
and are looking to play as many shows as possible, we are also looking for a bass player and possibly a keyboardist.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well, I(Mike Gordon) started out in a band called Silent Choir with two good friend Manrique .... and Brodie Wright. Brodie left the band and joined a hardcore/screamo band called Hopewell Creek. And Mani(Manrique) moved to Saskatoon. My good friend Arthur Harkins who had been in one of my favourite bands the Bollocks and I decided to one day have a Jam, we basically only played white stripes covers but we did make up a song together called particle baby. a joke really yet still one of my favourites....since then we have played some shows and written some great songs, we've added Hugh Mater on the drums and are hoping to record within the next year.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
we do play live, at small clubs....no real special moments to date.

Arthur-The Guess Who, Jimi Hendrix and Yes
Mike G.-Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles(mainly John), Cream, The Band and the eagles.
