The Blondes
Hello we are the blondes. The blondes are: Damon, Jacob, John, Chris, Johnny.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Jacob and his friends supposed Damon was a music journalist because he was at every gig they went to.
Damon didn't know who Jacob was until one day in the late summer of 2004 he saw him playing blues on the streets of Edinburgh. After The Others gig in Glasgow in October 2004, Damon and Jacob met in the bar at Nice'n'Sleazys.
Damon said to Jacob "I want to form a band and I want you to play guitar." Jacob was only too eager to accept, and in their drunkness decided the band would be called "The Blondes". It all started from there.
Jacob started going round to Damon's House, getting very drunk and playing songs that he had written with Damon doing pretty much the same. Damon and Jacob coerced John (aka Franzpants) into playing bass for them. Johnny was called upon to play drums and Chris came aboard to play guitar.
And that's about as far as we've got really. We want to play gigs, but I think we quite possibly need to have a full band rehearsal before that. If you want us to play at your party or anything, drop us an email.
