The Big Machine

No longer a band, but a man who has been sporadically bursting into creativity since the mid-90's. Usually on Wednesdays.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Big Machine was a 3 piece live outfit occasionally gigging in London in the early nineties playing original songs as composed by me. The bass player went to Australia and the drummer went to the wall so that just left me who has continued to (occasionally) compose but haven't gotten around to setting up another band for live work, which to be honest is thin on the ground for originals bands in my neighbourhood, so I play in a couple of covers bands, which keeps me occupied and is a lot of fun. www.loudmousemusic.co.uk www.subwaymonkeys.com
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
The Big Machine did play live back when all members had excellent hair, since then live work revolves around playing in various covers bands. The songs on this website have never been aired live and the hair has gone.
Your musical influences
Sting / The Police, Rush and then just about everything that sold in the eighties (which can be a problem) then Dep Mode / Radiohead / Muse / Placebo / and many more.
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha MM workstation, small Korg thingy, some so-so guitars and basses and a laptop using Sonar something or other. I've always got blu-tack, gaffer tape and a screw-driver to hand as well. Just in case.
