The 253 Boys / Have produced theme music for Fox Soccer Channel & World Football Daily, and have received multiple ASCAP awards including - for their most recent release - an original rock opera, New Day No War. Band/artist history
Once known as "Blues The Hard Way" and later know as "Bluzzion" I soon realized it was time to say "Hey!! F U" to my good friends.. Way to timid to put that into print I decided to keep the inflection and drop a few letters.. Sounding more like one of those Internet American Urban Folk Legends more and more each day, it was then decided to keep the name and the band members. Thus AFu Good Friends. Currently the group is more a theory than an actual reality. For instance, I am working live with Rhythm Club TV and Joy Ryder and the Rhythm Club Band; Rod is in Fla working with members of the Buddy Miles Band; Joe is off with his group, The Lovin'Spoonful; Wrecia is just out of this world; Brad Factor is still recovering from their first gig in almost 20 years; Gun Hill is still looking for the starting gate.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Usually we play out live as a loud instrumental act without vocals. This would be indicated by the essentials FTV. For example: AFU FTV (F*** The Vocalist) but don't let the wording miss lead you, we do work with some of the best vocalists on the planet. We will also from time to time perform live as the band behind hip-hop artist Gun Hill. Gun Hill also seems to be interchangeable and will sometimes feature the velvet voice of Johnny Holliday.

What equipment do you use?
Protools, Mac, Tobias, Dan Electro, Alembic, Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Mackie, URS Plugins. Even Steven Levee an artist endorsed by Hartke Speakers, loves his stack of High Drive 12" speaker cabinets. At 30lbs. these cabinets are small and easy to transport. Perfect for any hand cart makes it easy to get to gigs and rated at 600Watts RMS at 4 ohms (per 2 cabinets) makes it very easy to be heard clearly.
