The Bad Old Days
Seventh Sign Seventh Sign
Whisper A Prayer Whisper A Prayer
Another great Instrumental which still plays well despite it original designation to have lyrics.
Stand Up Stand Up
Another great song that ended instrumental. There were lyrics by Dave Joyner but they unfortunately were lost. Maybe Dave would like to add them again?
I Still Think About You I Still Think About You
A ballad by Dave Joyner and I that never made it into the band recordings but a nice listen.
Tabloid Tales Tabloid Tales
This track was started with one one small riff in A Minor and then took on a life of its own. The lyrics are about Paparazzi. The song form was directed in a very Floydian manner.
The Mad Scientist The Mad Scientist
This was certainly one of the more crazy songs we ever wrote yet it has quite a bit of energy and great solos.
Subtle Passion Subtle Passion
After a brief period of inactivity between Kyril and I, this hook came to me on the classic Fender Rhodes and I asked him to join me on the tune. Afterwards, we started the most creative phase that we would ever have.
That's Life That's Life
The lyrics to this song were written by Robert Peppi during a period of lucidity. The guys and I gathered around him at that moment to write good songs with him while he could. This was one of the best.
It's All You It's All You
Originally named 'KB2' because Kyril and I in our stupor wanted a name to remember the song by. I saw an empty box from my keyboard stand that had 'KB2' written on it. The song became one of our best.
Patriarchs Of Golden Years Patriarchs Of Golden Years
Recorded in F# Minor it was the 9th song ever written by the first three members, Joe, Barry and Dave and became one our best known songs with Kyril adding guitar.
Always In My Heart Always In My Heart
The lyrics to this Ballad were written by David Joyner to his Wife Lori. He sang it to her on their wedding day.
Turn You On Turn You On
A very interesting funky blues song recorded by Kyril, Joe and I. Joe on vocals and Kyril and I had fun with the mix. That is Nick the Dog barking in the middle who has now gone to bark at the moon.
Decades in Minutes (Belmar) Decades in Minutes (Belmar)
Many a night Kyril and I wrote the trippiest stuff we could think of while living in a house band in Belmar, N.J. This was our first attempt at an epic, it is not perfect but when I managed to dig it up I knew I couldn't pass transferring.
Decades (Hurley's House) Decades (Hurley's House)
This was our best attempt at making Decades a polished tune. Vocals nicely added by drummer Joe De Sarno.
This Is My Heart This Is My Heart
This Ballad was written near the end of 'The Third Half'. It was never a favorite but somehow over the years I think it has become one of the more indelible songs in our catalog.
I Feel I Feel
Recorded live in Long Branch as a prototype for a studio version. Loaded with miscues as a result of its newness to us it still has some nice moments.
I Feel (Studio Instrumental) I Feel (Studio Instrumental)
This was preliminary recording with Kyril, Barry and I and is a great example of where the song was headed had we ever polished it.
Jessicah James Jessicah James
This was our most rocking attempt for Rob's Shark River Boys Demo. It definately smokes and we made sure to leave Barry's 'Whoo' which got caught on the recording at the very end.
