Electronica/indie rock from Portland, OR. Our name is "theART," not "theARTmusic."
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
theART started as me, Joseph. I wrote music on acoustic guitar, translated it into electronica, and mixed different genres of music. I started having Natalie sing with me, and later made the addition of a live drummer (Matt Szklarz) and second guitarist (Dan Bacon.)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We plan to start soon.

What equipment do you use?
I (Joseph) use a Gibson SG Standard and a Marshall JCM Slash for guitar. For electronics, I use an Apple MacBook Pro, Propellerhead Reason, Ableton Live, and an M-Audio Axiom keyboard.
Matt uses a custom made Allegra drum kit, and various sticks...
Dan uses a Fender American Telecaster, and a vintage MusicMan tube amp.
Natalie uses her voice, tambourines, shakers, and other percussive instruments. She also plays a little bit of keys.
