The Anix
We formed The Anix in 2001, with the hopes of adding a new style of music into the popular rotaion of whats going on right now. We were fed up with hearing the same stuff over and over again. Everything was sounding the same to us, so we made a move to change that. We are one of those bands that takes full advantage of technology, yet still cant get rid of our retro gear that helped define our sound. We have sold out shows at many of the clubs in Los Angeles- The Key Club, The Roxy, The Whiskey-A-Go-Go, The Knitting Factory and Hard Rock Beverly Hills..
Your musical influences
We were all brought up listening to The Cure, Depeche mode, The cars, Duran Duran and other New wave bands so we always had a thing for that kind of music, then by the time we were actually old enough to play music, bands like Nirvana, Bush, Korn and other hard rock bands started popping up. We wanted to mix our love for both genres of music to create one, that stood out from the others. The Anix sounds really 80's at times, then will come in with a rocking chorus. We like to change things up all the time and cover all the kinds of music that inspired us
