Hailing collectively from Los Angeles, CA, the Ambulance is a tightly knit alternative metal trio produced by System of a Down songwriter/producer/guitarist Daron Malakian. Spit flies from the speakers as the fusion of the raw, maniacal, angst driven talent of vocalist/guitarist, A.J. Lopez , founder and song writer for TheAmbulance since 1997 with Abe nesbitt on bass and guitar and Ronen Gordon on drums

Have you performed in front of an audience?
we have played over a 100 times at least in Los Angeles alone. I have played at clubs like TheRoxy, TheWhiskey, TheTroubadour, TheKeyClub, TheViperRoom, TheHouseOfBlues,TheFillmore. My favorite bar to play at is The SceneBar. I love playing live, I thinks thats my favorite part. A special moment was when Daron Malakian ran on stage at the Troubadour and started singing a tune I wrote with me. Pretty cool!
Your musical influences
I listen to all sorts of music. A few bands I love are Ministry, FaithNoMore, PailHead, NineInchNails, Nels Cline, SystemOfADown, Primus, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana
What equipment do you use?
I use a Roland DJ-70 to trigger my samples live and a rat pedal, delay, pitchshifter, mesa boogie, esp vb, sg
