Greetings! Welcome to our little piece of the internet! We are a fun-loving (small) group of guys who are enthusiastic about playing and singing Irish music, along with a few other types. We do other Celtic music, particularly Scottish tunes, and almost always mix in some "old time" (Appalachian string band type) music. Bluegrass is something that we occasionally do by bringing in other musicians as the occasion warrants. We also do Civil War era music. We're capable of doing an entire show of period music, and certain groups do regularly book us to provide music for things like Civil War reenactments and period dances.
The Almost Irish Band features Tim Chadwick (guitar, banjo, vocals), Gary Chilton (hammered dulcimer, vocals), and Roger Stamper (fiddle, guitar). The shows are filled with exciting fiddle tunes, the unique and haunting sound of the hammered dulcimer, solid rhythm from the guitar or banjo, and delightful vocal numbers.
