The Aftercast
The AfterCast are 5 lads on a mission. After 6 months of relentless touring the boys took time out to record their debut EP, the imaginatively titled, Mek Shum Noisch' in April 2004. Its difficult to pin down a genre for the AfterCast as they seem to hop around all the time from Britpop (Failure To Me, Looking Forward to Yesterday) to Indie (Don't hold me down, Same Old) to Stadium rock (Line Em Up!, The Rock That Rolled) to driving anthems (Come What May, See You There). The diversity in music Is reflected by the spectators as ages range from 16 50. This versatility in audience can be accredited to the eclectic mix of styles and influences within the band. Despite their aged influences, The AfterCast produce a sound that is both contemporary and original.
The AfterCast are simply a love them or hate them kind of band with many turned off by their self belief often mistaken for arrogance yet the majority are intrigued by their chemistry onstage during live shows, their unpredictabilty makes for a refreshing change and a fully entertaining , unignoranble and musically sound experience
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
