The Advanced is really the brainchild of the one member - Alasdair Murden. Leaning towards the alternative side of electronic music, The Advanced aim to provide a show for the music. Covering all sorts of electronic sub-genres, The Advanced would be very hard to pigeon-hole.
The Advanced is plural to allow for the personel expansion on the project.

Solo project going since the beginning of 2003.Have you performed in front of an audience?The Advanced does the occasional live performance, normally in small venues. Finding a promoter to put on such a show is quite tricky in my area.
Your musical influences
Influences include the avant garde and experimental: Randy Greif, Throbbing Gristle and modern 'classical' music. Palatable sounds include Front Line Assembly, The Prodigy and Orbital. Bands include Radiohead.What equipment do you use?
A computer work-station for the sequencing. Digital recorder, synths, + mic for live.
Of course, it will all change for the better with money.Anything else?

Just listened to Sonic eats the Zone off the charts page. I love the use of the old school synth patches. Groovy! I'll listen to the other tracks when I get back from playing Racquetball tonight!
