The ADG
Hello!
This project was started 8 years ago with some non- musicians and me (hank schnedl).
The main reason for doing this was to create some kind of "reality- music", where the expression in the music and the sound where real- time and not planned or changed by another person.
The ADG could also be seen as a "first take" production experiment with almost no musician in the band.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
1997 Start of the project whith a friend of mine.
1998 6 Members
1999- 2001 Played many gigs and made many recordings
2002-2005 The band lost members
2006 I am "the ADG" at this time (no other active band member)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We played live, but too many members used to leave the band (from 6 to 1- me!)
Your musical influences
As I am writing this at 2am I can only speak for me:
Kiss, Saxon, The police, ACDC, Joe Satriani, Fu Manchu, Crystal Method, Pink Floyd
But you cant hear anything of that influences in our music- I swear!
What equipment do you use?
Its different: Goes from mobile phone recordings to proffesional recording studio.
I work with hardware only and software, like pro tools.
Anything else?
I think one main reason for doing this is to give a little bit back into the pot of music, where we usually only take something out.
