the absurdist quintet

A spiraling vortex of incoherent disjoined contradiction left sitting out as though it were a piece of antique furniture.

The absurdist quintet started in the mid 1980s when a department store keyboard was placed in front of a small child. He spent a quantity of time mashing keys and pretending that he was playing the preset demo, but wasnt quite mature enough to learn the proper function of the instrument, but he would pick it up again later in life. In the 1990s the progress of the band was accelerated when an acoustic guitar was placed in an adolescents hands, shortly fallowed by the acquiring of an electric guitar and a small practice amplifier. He quickly leaned nearly every tune in the nirvana song book as well as some others. After a few months of practice his small cd collection left him wanting. The drummer came into the picture a few years later. He was playing guitar in a band that was having the hardest time at finding a decent drummer who wasnt an annoying idiot. He finally gave up on that task and taught himself how to play the drums. After all, guitarists are a dime a dozen. After a few months of covering pigface songs he was confident in his abilities to keep a beat. The bassist came about at the same time as the guitar player. His sister had recently purchased a bass guitar which he played as much as she did. The collective mind of the band studied theory and composition in collage which is the only formal training any of them have received. When the lead guitar player joined with the absurdists the quintet was complete. The band was blossoming and preparing to take the world by storm when in 2003 tragedy struck and the band had to move across the country leaving all of their equipment behind. Now with only a guitar and a computer and no recording equipment they are reduced to sequencing there compositions using various computer programs. But in the end I guess it works out. Computers dont make mistakes. Or do they?
