The 2 Man Suitcase Band
We get together and improvise everything,just bass and drums. The tracks we have up here are very rough and have many mistakes, but it's because there was no forethought or planning put into any of them. Listen at your own risk.Band/artist history
We started as two guys in two different bands that were just looking for something to do that was fun and didn't have any structure or rules. I think after the first time we jammed, the conversation basically went like, "Hey...we should do this onstage." "Yeah, I'm gonna wear a sombrero when we play." "Sweet, we should wear old boyscout shirts too."...Have you performed in front of an audience?We have played live before, but it has been a while. I think we've had as many live shows as we have had recording sessions...and we've only jammed once or twice beyond that.
What equipment do you use?
The drummer used a Howitzer set with all Zildjan cymbals and a single Pearl Eliminator pedal on the first CD. On the newer one, he's got a Ludwig set, a Pearl Sensitone snare, a pearl Eliminator double-bass pedal and hi-hat stand and still all Zildjan cymbals. On our first CD, I used a Yamaha BB605 for everything. On the newer one, I used my main bass, a warwick corvette standard with Bartolini pickups and an 18v Aguilar preamp.Anything else?
Don't expect anything too musical out of this group. We're funk heads, we like rhythm. We worry more about music on other stuff removed from this band.All comments (1)
