The 1984s formed circa 1994, with the original line up of Alex Zima, Dan Cowart, Trent Tobias, and Jack Hara in Waterloo/New-Dundee/Kitchener Ontario, and served the local publics demand for industrial narco pop for 4 years. In 1998, at a show party a housefire broke up, killing the drummer and keyboardist, only Alex Zima and Dan Cowart where left alive. After this a long period of psychiatry and drug abuse followed, leading to the most current bizarre releases. In 2005 some kidnapping incidents occured, followed by a long legal battle clearing the 1984s of all charges due to the evidence being destroyed in trainwreck. In 2006 Dan went to jail for impersonating a police officer, at the same time Alex Zima began writing an autobiography entitled "The life of a real hero." Later that year Dan was released and Alex Zima finished the book, and are now back and making music again. So whats next? Wait and see...Have you performed in front of an audience?yes
