A walking shock factor... Aside from being 6^5 its easy for Knyle to command a room's attention. His sound is...refreshingly familiar to the Hip Hop community & yet unlike much of anything else. Now that he's embraced his R&B abilities, he is all the more lethal as an artist. It doesn't stop there either. The beats and concept selection by this man have touched people from all over the world. Even prior to him seeing it. Working with Syndicate Family only taunted him a glimpse of what could possibly happen. Moving onto Unite2Write showed him things he never thought possible. Now with a new team of young veterans, Knyle says he's never been in such an enviornment. Happy to learn from a slightly older generation, being inspired in new and exciting ways. My son is now convinced he's nowhere to go but up. The proof being right now he is in Dublin Ireland performing between there and the UK.
Band/artist history
From time spent freestyling and vs battles growing up, to talent shows for cash prizes, to joining with Syndicate Family, to my transition into WWGR and then onto joining with Prosody Productions, its been quite a ride. Over 1000 shows in the US & now 7 countries in 3 months time....whats next?
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Well since I don't actually play any instruments anymore, I'll just use performing instead of playing live...
I have performed in dozens of cities, atleast a dozen states in the US and now, half a dozen countries. I'm nervous before every performance so I'd like to think of every show as a special moment. Every result is the same...I kill it lol. But if I have to pick one moment or show, it would be the baby shower in Howell MI(a city once famous as the home of the KKK's leader.) Blew my mind to be honest. :) Not literally.
Your musical influences
The first had to be my Dad, Pal. There was alot of Father, Son time in from of a record player & his 2000 plus Lps. Closely behind has to be Mom... Nobody sang more & as well as she did growing up. Neither of them ever really persuing a career in music only helped me to realize what gifts I recieved from both ends. That realization was actually my push to put it all to use. My confidence in my folks.
What equipment do you use?
Currently Reason, Record, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools
Anything else?
Strawberry Cheesecake....ha
