That Kid Young
Frankie Denham grew up in a hard neighborhood as a child. He seemed to have gotten in a lot of trouble, so ended up having to deal with the consequences of going to Juvenile Hall. He stated, "Juvie taught me everything I shoudln't be, and told me everything I need to do before I leave this life." He is Catholic and definitely believes in a higher power. His music is said to resemble the way he feels the moment he makes a song.
Since 2002, Frankie Denham has been making music. He bought his first microphone in 2002 and since then hasn't detached from it. Though he now records in a studio, he keeps the mic close by.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have only performed about 3 times at county fairs, parties, and once at the Rockin' Roots festival in my city Bakersfield, CA. I love to perform and put myself out there. One time which I thought was hilarious was I tripped over a speaker on stage at the Rockin' Roots festival. People didn't notice, but my foot had the biggest bruise ever since!
Your musical influences
My biggest influence to join the Hip Hop movement was probably hearing about the earthquake in Haiti, then seeing so many artists (in many genres) stand up and make such a great song for them. It kinda made me wanna be something that made a difference.
What equipment do you use?
I own a simple logitech mic that I custom made and attached a USB cable to it. I edit and master all of my own songs with Cool Edit Pro 2.1, available for download off of YouTube. I am young now, so hopefully when I am older I'll be recording in an actualy studio.
Anything else?
I love to party and kickback with friends and family. If you would like to email me any beats or demo's you want me to check out, hit me up at my email: denhamfrankie@yahoo.com
