Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Way back in 99, I started writing songs. I was writing worship songs belive it or not. I was only 10. Thats when I first felt God's calling to do something music related. A couple of years after that I heard about "Christian Rap." That got me thinking to try out a little bit different style. I was only 13 when I wrote my first "full/real" Christian rap (I had writen small poem type raps before). From there I kept writing and doing some small time recordings with an old tape recorder. I eventually upgraded to a mp3 player with a recording option installed.I created my first ever recorded mp3 rap song when I was 15(year 04). Basically I kept doing some recordings with the mp3 player up until about August 05. In 05 I got a new laptop and a recording headset. I made the most progres that year creating songs and samples throughout. That is also when I started puting songs on the intrenet etc. Today, I have a small recording studio, that has all the main components, such as a mixer, condenser mic, pop filter... Currently I am also working on my debut EP alongside Dizzy Kid.. with top Too Edge artsits to feature. WATCH FOR IT!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I do play live. I performed in my first concert on July,22/06. Performed in places such as Burlington and Ottawa. I do enjoy performing and love the audience..right now getting over the nervous part is going to be the challenge. Experience is all I have to say. A good time was when I performed alongside some of the great indie christian artits on the Canadian sceen such as Dizzy Kid, Dtox, Sublime Temple, and Incorupt.
Your musical influences
Ever since the age of 12 I've been buying Christian rap cd's. There are many influences I could agree upon. I guess I could start out by saying Crossmovement because their the group I started on and from there KJ-52, and so on. Also a big influence was Dizzy Kid from Montreal and Dtox from Ottawa as I now know them both and have perfomed alongside them in Ottawa and Burlington, ON. Canada Represent!
What equipment do you use?
I use a mixer with fx, condenser mic etc. For software I use Acid Pro 6 and others.
