I do not play live, but I do play live instruments, being competent with an organ and a Piano, I can play the recorder, the snares and keyboards. I do not like playing live instruments in front of a large audience. Lol... I don't like large audiences much.. hence the reason I produce and don't rap.
I am influenced by creativity. Producers who do things outside of the box, people who pay attention to detail, and people who create unique experiences with every beat. MY top producers would go: Timbaland for his creative instrumentation and sick drum syncopation, Drumma Boy for his ill drums and classical influence in his music, Danja for his perfection of synths and creating unique, Standout songs, Dr. Dre for his attention to detail and perfection of music mixing and mastering, Swizz Beatz for his high energy and party records and affinity for making hits, Mannie Fresh for his unique production and raw talent being able to produce a whole label of artist single-handedly for over a decade, Shawty Redd for his high energy crunk music with ill drums, and Kanye West for his mastery of samples and ear for putting samples together.
I am digital, I use a high performance computer with a midi keyboard. My programs are Reason 4 (first and foremost), Cubase, Pro tools, Rewire, Recycle and Soundforge.
