I've been playing guitar and singing since I was 11. The first two songs I learned from a fellow named Bill Auld, who lived two houses up the street from us, were "Louie Louie" and "The Last Time", both 3-chord-wonders. Well, I've learned a few more chords since then, played in several bands over the years, and decided to start writing own material when I was about 18 years old. I've also always enjoyed recording, and the MIDI and home recording possibilities in combination with computers have always been fascinating to me.Have you performed in front of an audience? No, not anymore. I used to really enjoy playing live and most of all liked those magical moments when you had the feeling that the audience is going to where you are taking them to.
Your musical influences
My main musical influences are the Beatles, James Taylor, Nik Kershaw, Jeff Beck, Santana, the Police/Sting and the classical music I got to hear when I was a kid. What equipment do you use?
I play several guitars: a Fender Stratocaster is my favorite electric, and a Takamine G Series as well as an Ovation classical are the acustic ones I use. If I don't go directly into the computer (an Apple G5 or MacBook Pro) they go through a Fender Concert amp and a SHURE SM58 microphone, which is also used for vocals. Drums are usually entered via a Roland SPD-20 MIDI drum set, all other sounds come from a KORG 05R/W or software instruments. Logic Pro and Garage Band are the software used for recording, a PEAVEY RQ 200 6-channel console helps me with the mixing.Contact
