We are Terence and Friends and we have what you need for this Christmas Season and beyond. This is a project that came about from some of us wanting to do it just for the hell of it. I mean really, what company is going to actually put lots of money behind a Christmas album of professional back-up musicians and singers these days? (you say it's been done before? well who asked you anyway) So I just decided to make it happen for all of our friends and families. Sort of our gift to them. You will find some really nice gems on here. Havent you ever just wanted to throw a bunch of stuff together just to see what it tasted like? Well thats just Christmas at My House. I have friends and influences from many places and we just get together and throw a potluck and have a good time and a good meal. This Chrismas CD is for the potluck at your house!
Band/artist history
Let me say that between all of us, we have played and sang with: Barry White, Maxwell, EWF, Joe Cocker, Ryan Adams, Vanessa Williams, Arthur Adams, OJays, Soloman Burke and many more that my friends are going to kill me for, for not remembering.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We really got together just to do the Christmas CD, all of us play in other situations so, yeah, you may have seen one of us playing with somebody famous. We all love to do the live thing and I love it too, but I love to put together projects for myself and others.
Your musical influences
Who haven't we been influenced by, Barry White, Santana, Jill Scott, Sade, Cassandra Wilson, Macy Grey, Hendrix, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy....come on, how assinine a question is this......we're freakin musicians and singers from all over the place. We've played all over the world, we live in a world that has access to it all 24/7. Only an idiot would lock himself away from the richness of all this. Rock, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Jazz, Latin, World Beat, you name it we listen to it. You wouldn't stare at your favorite color all day would you? (no comment from the purple loving people - y'all are different)
What equipment do you use?
Does it really matter? Some old, some new, some borrowed, some blue colored thing that I am still not sure what it does, but it does it great!
Anything else?
Nothing else to add, I need a coffee break, y'all wearing a brotha down with all these questions. I got married, watched the kids grow up and got divorced by the time I finished all this stuff. Just buy the CD, man. We gotta get presents!
