The Mind Behind the Music
Behind the pulse of The Ekuba Project is Ernesto Couso, a figure whose journey defies convention. Born and raised in Cuba, Couso moved to Ecuador in 2003 at the age of 25carrying with him not just the legacy of his homelands rhythms, but a burning need to create. When he launched the project in 2010, it was more than a musical experimentit was a personal sanctuary, a place where logic met emotion, where structured code gave way to sonic freedom.
Fast forward to today: Ernesto has built a reputation as a renowned IT C-level executive and founder, leading transformative ventures from San Antonio, TX. Yet despite his success in boardrooms and tech strategy, music remains his most unfiltered form of expression. Its the one place where algorithms take a back seat to instinct, and every beat serves as a thread in the story of his soul. The Ekuba Project continues to be his creative lifelineundiluted, raw, and beautifully personal.
While others may compartmentalize creativity and career, Ernesto fuses them. His journey proves that ambition doesnt mean abandoning artistryit means embracing every part of yourself, and letting the music speak louder than titles.

The most interesting is the mix of new instruments playing harmoniously with the melody. Instruments such as timbales, bongos, Keys and many other Caribbean and Latin American origin, used in dances like Salsa, Samba, Mambo and Merengue
