Tender Madness
Tender Madness Jazz has been together since 2004. We play mostly jazz standards and do Weddings, Corporate Functions, and regular restaurant and pub gigs.
We have Alban Teh Howell - Keyboard, Mike Fewchuck - Bass, Robert James - Guitar, Ms Tarnia / Susie Hobday - vocals, Russell Crawford - Drums.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band started in 2003 with Alban, his second cousin Liam and Mike Fewchuck. The first gig the band ever had was at the Cypriot club to celebrate the entry of Cyprus to the European Union in 2004. The band had a residency at the Castle Hill Tavern in 2004 - 2005, playing on Sundays in the Tavern's beer garden. The band played the last night of the original "Soup Plus" in November 2004, and one of the first nights at the new "Soup Plus" in January 2005. The band has been at the Beecroft Post Office (BPO) Restaurant every Friday night since November 2005.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have a residency at a fine dining restaurant - BPO (Beecroft Post Office Restaurant). We play there every Friday night, and have been playing there for the past 2 years. Its close to home and we get to play all our favorite tunes. Our highlight was playing at the last night of Soup Plus, Sydney's longest running Jazz venue.

Keyboards - Yamaha P90, Amp - Motions Sound KP200s.
