Tempete
Tempete is a Hardcore/Experiemental/Jam band from Montreal, QC.
Members are:
- Marc-Antoine Lemieux: Bass, vocals, guitar, drums
- Nicolas Lavergne : Drums, guitar, bass
- Anthony Collin-Bilodeau: Guitar, back vocals, bass, drums
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed in Montreal, QC, in 2003, Tempete is a power trio with raw live energy, surprising tempo changes, proeminent bass and flirtations with Hardcore Punk, Jazz, Funk and Noise textures and satirical and poignant lyrics make their sound unique and accessible to a wide variety of music fans.
Tempete released its fourth official album, Pyro[cb], in February 2019 and is currently working on its 5th studio album.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We love to play live, we do a lot of shows, mainly in the Montreal area, but always enjoy opportunities to play outside of our home town.
Your musical influences
Mr. Bungle, Refused, Primus, NoMeansNo, Tool, Death, Fantômas, King Crimson, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mononc Serge, Rage Against The Machine, Beastie Boys, Tugnut, ourselves and soooo many others!
What equipment do you use?
We are very fond of old Acoustic amp heads from the 70s. We're using them for both guitar and bass. Bass cab is a Trace Eliot and guitar cab is an old Marshall JCM800 Lead.
Drum is currently a Pearl Masters MCX, cymbals are a mix of brand but that sounds good together.
