TekNatural
TekNatural began as two emcees. They have recently added a new Dj to their family. Dj Soulutions, and singer Autumn. They just released a 15 track Lp called "X-Plosion".
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
This duo has been involved in recording and performing Hip Hop music for approximately 12-13 years. Although, Hip Hop music has been a central theme in their lives since the age of 8. They have been performing at various events, clubs, bars, and radio stations throughout Ontario. They have released a full length album, as well as appeared on numerous mixtapes, and individual EPs. They released a new full length album on October 19th entitled X-Plosion.
They've performed at the well known "El Mocambo" and "The Reverb" in Toronto, to little bars like "Goofy Newfy" in Fergus, On. TekNatural has had full page articles in the local newspapers, as well as been nominated for several awards like the Toronto Independent Music Awards and Toronto Exclusive Magazine Awards.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
They have played over a 100 shows across Ontario, and will be touring Canada in the next 1-2 years. They have a natural ability to rock every stage they hit with pure energy and fire.
Your musical influences
They have many influences. Ottis Redding to Steve Miller, and from Wu-Tang to The Roots. They get inspired by artists who have changed music in some way or other.
What equipment do you use?
They use Pro-Tools MBox, T-Racks for production.
