Indie Rock Band from Plano, Texas.
Band/artist history
In late winter of 2002, Jeremy Leigh(guitar, vocals) and Jason Bailey(bass) began to form somewhat of a friendship. Throughout middle school, Jeremy and Jason rarely spoke to one another. Since they attended a small private school, word reached Jeremy that Jason owned a bass (whether or not he can play it is still in question) and he and Jason began going to each others' houses to play Blink-182 covers. By the end of their 8th grade year, they had become better friends and started to write their own pop-punkish music. The only problem was that they needed someone to play drums. No one at their school could really hit the skins, so they enlisted the help of Jason's skeptical brother Nick. Nick doubted the talent of Jason and Jeremy, but soon found them to be credible musicians for their age. Four years older than them, Nick was an experienced drummer in the fact that he had been playing since about the 6th grade. The summer before their freshman year, Jeremy and Jason practiced with Nick, writing songs and even doing a little half-ass recording. Towards the end of the summer, Jeremy, Jason, and Nick decided to try to get a little more serious. Their style was changing dramatically from pop-punk to more emo-rock with somewhat of a compromise in between. They were also becoming more talented. In Christmas of 2003, Jeremy got a digital four-track as a present. This greatly changed "The Alternate Ending", as they were called at the time. Recording became a regular process. In their freshman year (Nicks senior year) they recorded many songs, but their style was becoming monotone. Late in the school year Jason decided to take a break. Things picked back up in summer of '04 with a new goal in mind- to make GOOD music, music that was nice to the ears, and different from all the other junk on the radio. Thus they evolved into the indie-rock revelation that they are today. At the end of the summer, Nick, like most high school graduates, had to go to college. He is now at Texas State University and no longer a member of the band formerly known as "The Alternate Ending/Third Round Victim (the second name)" The duo of Jason and Jeremy changed their name to Team Todd in somewhat of a tribute to good friend Todd Abels, and became, basically, a recording project-- writing songs and recording them with a drum machine. Their sophomore year, Jeremy and Jason struggled to find a drummer. When they were contacted to play a show, they quickly pulled together a full band. Friend, Mike Brady, agreed to play play guitar. They convinced Ben Roche to play drums and recruited Adam Clark to play the keyboard while Jeremy played guitar/sang. They are still currently writing songs and pushing to further their musical creativity.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We've played at Trees and the Door in deep ellum. Jeremy personally doesnt like the local dallas music scene, but the Door is easy to work with.
