TOWN BOYZ BIO: The Town Boyz were formed during the fall of 2004. Town Boyz originally started with 4 artists by the names of Vonte, Yung Quise, Erock, and D.G. All four members were born in East Oakland,CA.Vonte from 2800,Yung Quise from 4500 and High St,D.G. from 105th and birch,and E-Rock from 9800 and Brookfield.This is also how the group name came onto play,since all artists were from Oakland a.k.a. [The Town].All the Town Boyz were brought up during hard times with no money and still struggle today,which is a reason for them getting into the rap game.Other than that the three Town Boyz(Quise,Vonte,and E-Rock) met their freshmen year in high school(San Lorenzo High).Forming their rap group Yung Quise had a cousin(D.G.) and suggested he should be in the group because he could rap and that worked out.Now having Vonte on the beats with the three rappers the Town Boyz were made. Since everyone has a passion for rapping in them the Town Boyz encountered many people who wanted to join them.Many of them were from school.They tried,but none really worked out.There was one artist that almost worked he went by the name of D.Geezy,he was D.G.'s older brother.He has been in the game 8 years and was the most experienced and the oldest.But as they went on a few weeks D.Geezy found himself wanting to go solo and left it back to the three rappers..So the Town Boyz continued on with their writing and beat making. The Town Boyz went to the studio for the first time a couple months after forming the group.Super Producer and rapper from the GameBrothers Carmello Lopez(Vonte's cousin) helped them out.They recorded two songs called "Imma Pimp" and "Too Hot".After recording the two tracks of course the Town Boyz showed the songs around school and got responses.People showed love, people hated, people gave tips and opinions.After that they got a feel of what being in the studio was like.So Town Boyz got back to writing and the beat making. About two months later they were back in the studio but this time with former Town Boy D.Geezy and only Yung Quise and D.G.they got four tracks done this time:"Win" &"All I Do" ft D.Geezy and then "Tearin Up Tha Sheets"&"Wat It Do".Like before they got responses and back to the writing and beats. As a group the Town Boyz had their ups and downs.Group members fell off but came right back.Slacked on beats sometimes but always were ready to record.The problem with recording is getting everyone together and transportation.Thats why it took big chunks of time in between studio sessions.But as always the Town Boyz stuck to their writing and beats and time went on. During Xmas break in 2005 the Town Boys were back in the studio.They recorded around 8 tracks and also received a suprise a new group member.E-Rock's cousin DJ a.k.a. Lil Ice.The Town Boyz had spoken to him before about joining the group but it didnt work out.This time E-Rock brought him to put down some tracks ,which he made an appearence on two.They all felt like a family and that it was normal.Yung Quise on the othe hand was looking at him real closely and learned and realized things about Lil Ice.He realized that Lil Ice was having fun ,but was real serious and good rapping wise.He remined Quise of himself and he liked that.Yung Quise approached him and asked was he serious about rapping and did he want to be in the group or just rap.Lil Ice said he wanted to join TB.Yung Quise confronted Vonte and told him what he thought.Then it was official five rappers and one beat maker-5 Town Boyz. Now the Town Boyz roster is completed and songs are being made everyday, and the Town Boyz Impatiently waiting to get in the studio taking every chance they get.They now have a fan base waiting and supporting the Town Boyz in a lot of the things they do.A couple months later the Town Boyz strangely met with the group 1 step ahead(1.$.A.).They came to a conclusion that there would be a 50/50 partnership between Town Boyz and 1.$.A. ,Then formed their own label Tb Music Group/1.$.A. records.They now have over 8 members in their click and have a even bigger fan base wondering what will happen next.They are becoming more experienced and and creative with all their materials.They are now live and in effect,signing new artists and still looking forward to signing to an even bigger record label and corporation.Tb Music Group and 1.$.A. are on the road making their way up to the top and are making history as we speak.[2006]Band/artist history
