Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by my page. I'm a female MC out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. I've been compared to MC Lyte as far as how my style and delivery is when I get behind the mic. Feel free to leave me HONEST feedback. I always appreciate it. Enjoy!
Band/artist history
Tazzie, born Taborah Reed in Fort Worth, TX, on October 27,1987 is the first lady of Military Mind Productions. Knowing that she was destined to be a star, Tazzie quickly took on the love for music. She began writing poetry after her parent's divorce at the age of 7 and hasn't stopped since. Growing up as an only child for most of her younger years she needed something that she could do that would keep her entertained and motivated. So she decided to turn her poetry into songs. She started off writing R&B songs for her friends that were musically inclined as well. This still wasn't enough for Tazzie. She needed something that could relate to her. She knew that singing wasn't for he but she loved the art of writing all types of songs so she continued as a song writer as well as an MC. In 2002, Tazzie and three other family members started a group called U-NEEK. The group consisted of Tazzie's cousins Ashley and Brittany and her long time friend who she claims to be her sister, NaTonya. The three of them blessed the mic with their beautiful voices and Tazzie blessed the mic with her powerful lyrics. Ashley later left the group and the remaining three girls changed the group name to BBT(Beautiful Black Teens). After about a year and a half, the group split and they all did their solo careers. In the year 2004 Tazzie and two other young female MC's started a female rap group called UGQ(UndaGround Queenz). The group consisted of Raven and childhood friend Meka. The group released a mixtape entitled Royal Blood and were planning on releasing another mixtape in the spring of 2006 called Reigning Queens. Things suddenly took a turn and UGQ split. After realizing that she would rather do her own thing Tazzie focused on getting her music heard. Late 2006 she was signed to an upcoming independent label called Military Mind Productions and it's been nothing but success ever since. "Music is and always will be therapy for me," says the young talented artist. She has had many trials and tribulations that have been thrown her way but she believes that God put her through all those things to make her the strong young woman that she is today. Tazzie believes that those who try to become stumbling blocks in your journey of life will eventually become your footstool to step into a new chapter in your life. She hopes to take the rap game by storm and change it forever. Her style is gangsta, crunk and lyrical but she also has a vulnerable side which she likes to keep hidden. Her drive and ambition mixed with her talent is bound to make a new star. She just might be what the rap game is missing. Are you ready?
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. Right now at clubs and events. I love it! The first time I performed on stage is the most memorable for me.
Your musical influences
I have many influences actually. Anyone that is real, lyrical, and has true talent is an inspiration to me.
