The Tartan Death Squad was formed from members of other bands. We started jamming together for the fun of it, and we have lots of fun. We have all been playing for some time now, and have finally realized that, though we love our music dearly, we have all got to live realisticly, we all have other jobs. We cannot give up on our true passion which is our music. We hope everyone enjoys what we do, because we do!

Myself, Bill Whitner, and Hanley Plemmons have played off and on for about 20 yrs. We have been in several different bands. Martin Steffen and I played together as a result, of myself and Murdoch Morrison, putting together an Improv. Jam band, we also played in that same band, with John Tannehill, after the death of our friend Murdoch, and we were under the name of, Live from Papertown. Jay Hatcher and Hanley Plemmons were in a band together previous to the start of the Tartan Death Squad, and we just brought him in.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not at the moment we have only been playing for a short time, and don't have enough material yet.
