Tarita

If you have not heard of Tarita by now, you will be hearing a lot of her soon. She's the Midwest Princess of R&B from Chicago coming at you this Summer with her silky and infectious voice on a debut album. Her "Secrets" will be revealed soon, with it sharing a multitude of sexy, sultry, powerful and emotion invoking tracks with the world. The debut LP written entirely herself, showcases a voice equally raw and powerful, a solid soprano range and awesome lyrics that paint vivid pictures and ooze with emotion. Her flawless melodic arrangement and easily relatable lyrics draw the listener in and does not let them go into the LP comes to an end. Her musical prowess coupled with her electric stage presence and innate dance ability make Tarita bound for stardom. In a little over a year she has created a tremendous buzz in Chicago, and on Myspace. Her page myspace.com/tarita, has gotten nearly 100,000 views. It's only a matter of time for her.

I am currently performing live all around the city of Chicago, and the surrounding suburbs. Performances that stand out in memory were at the DuSable Museum and with a live band an intimate club called Paje.

I dislike this question because it implies 'who do you sound like' or 'who do you mimick'. I try hard to sound like no one out right now. My voice is distinct. As artists, I respect those who I feel really sing with their hearts so I'd say Beyonce and Alicia Keys.
