Tarey Wolf

Since she strummed her first $18 Silvertone guitar at 14, Tarey continues to weave a rich poetic tapestry of self-made songs. "I was self taught. I didn't know how to transpose sheet music at the time so if it wasn't already in my key I couldn't play it. The first song I learned was P.F. Sloan's "Eve of Destruction" which was cut by Barry McGuire who is a cousin of mine. Finally in exasperation and with this almost... animal passion to sing, I just started writing my own material. Since then I have learned how to read music, but I still let my soul dictate where the music goes..."
