Tainted Perfection are original band from Derry/Donegal, Ireland. Their music is a mixture of blues rock and catchy melodies.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Tainted Perfection first formed in May 2004 but the final line up wasn't formed until July. Since then Tainted Perfection have been working on original material and promoting themselves around Derry. Tainted Perfections original material is a mix of blues rock with catchy melodies which adds a breath of fresh air to the Derry music scene. Tainted Perfection are an enthusiastic, dedicated rock band , hungry for opportunities. The line up consists of Matthew Bonner, a talented singer songwriter who is currently in the top 50 2fm Irish Songwriter's , he also plays rhythm guitar. Sharon Thompson is on lead guitar and brings some originality to the band, i mean do you see many girl lead guitarists... Sharon can beat out some mean riffs and she showed this when she was the only person from Northern Ireland (and only girl) to get through to the semi finals of the Riffathon competition, where she had the honour of meeting Jimmy Page and Brian May. Kim Nicholl is the bass player she tries to make her bass lines distinctive and was the missing link of the band when the final line up was being decided upon. Marc Holden is the backbone from the start. His tight drumming keeps the band together.
