Syren is an all female Alternative/Rock trio from Britain. They are based in Detroit, MI and touring the Mid-Western, US.Band/artist history
Most of you are already familiar with Syren and if you are, you know them as the sexy all female, British rock trio that has been touring the mid-western United States for the past 5 months and shaking audiences again and again. Their penetrating lyrics, tight musicianship and addictive songs have gained them recognition in the Toledo/Detroit area and also way down in Florida.
Erin is the vocalist and guitarist for the band. She is relatively new to the music industry however, she has played for many different bands as either a guitarist, vocalist or drummer. She has been writing her own music and lyrics for 11 years and playing guitar for 6. Her inspiration comes mostly from rock of any kind but her major influences include Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, The Police and Kate Bush.
Amanda is the bass player from Grimsby, U.K.; but she's no ordinary bass player. This woman has been playing for 15 years on a fretless bass. She is also self-taught. She has been hailed by many European magazines and artists for her extraordinary talent and is still today involved in different bands. Her inspirations range from anyone such as Jaco Pastorious, Jonas Hellborg and Geddy Lee of RUSH.
The drumming wonder is Jo from Walsall, U.K. This woman uses her hands, feet and forearms to play unforgettable drums. Sonor Drums, Premier Drums and Paiste cymbals have endorsed her. But as if that's not enough, she too has been recognized by different European magazines and has played in different groups throughout her 10-year career to make her the best female drummer in this day and age. Having been inspired by Neil Pert, John Bonham, Bill Brufford and Larz Ulrich she has developed a powerful ear for great drum sounds that give Syren their driving rhythms and forceful beats
Amanda and Jo are the dynamic duo of the group! They've played together for years and normally wind up in the same side projects just because they're so compatible as musicians. It's hard (if not impossible) to have one without the other.

Jo- uses Sonor designer series drums, Vic Ferth drum sticks, Pearle drum pedals and Gibraltar hardware.
Amanda- plays a Steinberger XL 2 fretless bass through her Trace Elliot bass amp provided to her by Trace Elliot before the sold their company.
Erin- plays a Gibson Epiphone pr5e acoustic/electric guitar and uses Jim Dunlop medium gauge picks. She sings through a Shure (SM58) microphone.All comments (1)
