Yes, I think it sounds better than when I play dead
Started with Gordie Lightfoot and Bruce Cockburn, then moved on to Willie P. Bennett and Stan Rogers over the course of two decades. I spent all my money collecting records (then cassettes) as a younger man, my favouritest musicians at the time being Roy Harper, John Martyn, Shawn Phillips and, as a template for my own craft of songwriting, Ian Tamblyn.
1995-ish Larrivee large body LV-09 (Fishman active UST), 2008 Larrivee 12 fret slope shoulder dreadnaught (K&K Trinity), 2007 Larrivee 05 Parlour (K&K Pure Western), 1979 Takamine 349, 1978 Yamaha FG-335, Ibanez 12, Seagull cedar-top, Samick F-hole mandolin, Dean six string Banjitar, And of course, The Blue Raven, a 13 fret Custom Jumbo with Lutz Spruce top, old growth Koa back and sides, solid Mahogany neck, Zircote trim, Turquoise accents, Crow's Foot purfling, and stainless Steel frets. All soundclick songs recorded on a portable battery operated Boss 4 track BR-600 on the coffee table in my sunroom.
The Raven, my first lutherial build (picture at play in the photos section) is documented here: http://picasaweb.google.com/swainsong/TheRaven
The recent sun spot activity has brought creativity back into my life...to say nothing of the love that brings me such joy and effervescence. A
Wonderful acoustic fretwork with nice tonality and clean transitions...love the technique...Good melody...Really enjoyed listening...
