This a page I've created so I can post my own music. It's recorded and produced in-the-box using Cakewalk Sonar and various other software/plugins at my home studio.Band/artist history
I was formed in November 1979. I learned to play the electronic organ at 8 and subsequently proceeded with a Technics keyboard (KN220).
Did my first recordings using my Amiga 500 and NoiseTracker in 1991. Moved on to MS-Dos PC and Cakewalk Professional 2.0 in 1994 (midi through the Soundblaster 16 FM synth, later SoundFonts on a Soundblaster AWE32).
Bought a Tama Swingstar drumkit in 1995 and and learned to play the drums. A litte later me and some friends aquired a Fostex 4-track to record audio for the first time. Having to deal with real audio I taught myself to play guitar and bass the following years.
Having moved to Trondheim in 2001, I joined The Love Revolt in February of 2002 playing guitar driven synth rock (my love and musical partner Ingrid Velle joined this band in January 2004 [just for the record, we weren't a couple back then). The Love Revolt (now disbanded) have released 3 records and played 40 concerts.
I bought the Cakewalk Sonar 2.0 DAW in 2002 to get more serious with recording.
In February of 2005 TLR-guitarist Dagfinn Ritland and me formed "The Kaugboys", a country music project that would evolve into my current band Amberville.
In 2007 I sat in for Axel Tidemann on drums with "Ningun Extremo" a Trondheim-based rock/electronica band, for half a year playing three gigs. I also did two gigs with my friend Sigurd Lühr Tonna with his space-rock / prog project Annot Rhül playing two gigs.
Lately I've been focusing much of my efforts into Paper Wings, a project I'm doing with my wife Ingrid Velle. We're hoping this will evolve into a recording/gigging outfit.
Lately I've been playing in Helen & The Prettyboy Pete band featuring contry pop diva Helen Sandvik and master melancolic Petter Almklov. I'll make a Soundclick profile for that band as soon as we can manage to make a decent recording!
I created this profile to have a place to post the stuff I've been doing on my own, separate from the aforementioned bands/projects.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not yet with this project, though I've been gigging with Trondheim-based bands such as The Love Revolt, Amberville, Ningun Extremo, Annot Rhül and Paper Wings.
One special moment was right before one of our first shows with the The Love Revolt, when our bassist told me I had a big belly!
Your musical influences
Late seventies/early eighties post-punk and new wave. Sixties and seventies country. Fifties and Sixties jazz. Dunno if any of the above really show in my music, though. What equipment do you use?
