SVA is a group comprised of three artists, a duo and a solo artist coming together to make one supergroup. Full Range (AB & RJ) has joined forces with Jayson Bhorn to bring all of their seperate elements to the table to do something new and exciting. SVA stands for sex, violence, and alcohol. The three artists represent these three elements in the group and in the music. All three are also natives of Pasadena, CA. Expect SVA to rep Pasadena as well as the I.E. (where they currently reside).
RJ (Sex) has always been the "nasty" one or the "freak". He is nicknamed "The Rap Rick James".. the superfreak. RJ is also head producer and engineer of the group. All of the SVA recording is done at The Range (RJ's studio). Outside of rap, RJ is a self-taught engineer, who also built the The Range studio. He is the "technician" of SVA. He has studied and worked with a lot of different engineers in many different studios. This is apparent in the SVA sound. RJ is also a big part of the business side of the group, handling much of the behind-the-scenes biz.
Jayson Bhorn (Violence) has always been the street element in any situation. He is the street rapper, the verbal assasin of the group. Jayson is the prettyboy/ gangster with the slick punchlines that gives SVA that street edge. He is in a lot of ways the voice of the group, being very outgoing and vocal about most everything. Jay makes many of the connections for SVA, using his past successes and relationships as a soloist as a tool for his new found supergroup.
AB (Alcohol) knows about drinking and living in the fast lane. He grew up as the popular athlete and was introduced to a certain lifestyle early. AB is used to the spotlight and does what he needs to do for the group to put them in it. AB is the smoooth edge to the group, inserting a more melodic, layed-back tone to what SVA does musically. He, behind the scenes, is the research, the industry knowledge and information sponge for SVA. He is the ear of the group, always finding and knowing what's happening and about to happen. AB is a big part of the personality of SVA. Many of the funny terms and slang comes from AB. Many times switching from a very layed back "Mack" type of person to a wild comedic jokester, you never know exactly what to expect from AB.
There are so many more things that makes SVA what they are. Its evident in their music that they all have songwriting ability. They understand the difference between hot verses and hot songs. These young men are students to rap, music, and the music industry. SVA understands how the business and talent work in conjunction with each other and without. The drive in SVA is also evident. They remain in the streets, on the net, at the clubs, and near radio. Its just a matter of time before you see SVA where they belong... on top!Have you performed in front of an audience?We love to perform live. Our last show was at the Key Club in Hollywood.
