Have enjoyed playing music for many years with husband, Mark and brother Tony (check out his page under Tony Lee Johnson) while in Florida. Recently moved to Iowa and now am writing some lyrics and music to go with my brother's guitar, bass and drum tracks.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
My brother Tony and my boyfriend Mark (whom I married) started playing in their early teens. Within a few years we had a band but were too young to get bar gigs, so we played wedding receptions and private parties. As we got older, we started families of our own and time just got away, although we never stopped jamming and enjoying every minute of it!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not playing live at the time, but when we did, it was the most exhilarating natural high ever experienced.
Your musical influences
Enjoy all kinds of music, mostly classic rock and country. Favorites are Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, John Mellencamp, but also enjoy Martina McBride, Trick Pony and the likes.
Anything else?
Would give anything to play originals with husband and brother live.
