New School

Composed of rappers King Self, Negashi Armada and rapper/uber-producer Dope Pope, Supreeme is a direct result of the growing convergence of urban style and high-end craftsmanship. The frequency of this blend increases daily in different mediums of expression; whether it be in fashion, art, technology or music. This exchange is still grossly lopsided; so far the rich have merely exploited and exhausted the vast resources of street culture. Supreeme represents this equation finding balance, the people of the streets (in our case Atlanta) taking pride in their urban expression to create timeless art as if museum curators await it in the not so distant future. Each album is a different chapter in the lives of three friends, however charming, talented or dashing, trying to hold on and succeed in a rapidly changing and shrinking world. Supreeme is a beautiful spawn of the monster that is globalization. Supreeme is wordly, at home in any city, and familiar with the customs enough to "get at" any hot girl walking by. Supreeme is one of those rare anomalous rap groups that set astonishing precedents never to be matched by their followers. Think of perhaps NWA, Outkast, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, WuTang Clan; these groups have numerous followers and imitators but their essence can never be recreated. In Supreeme's own words they are just, "a bunch of stupid kids who make hot shit and wear fly shit"but dont let them fool you, they are true students of their craft and a force to be reckoned with. All three members of Supreeme come from very distinct and different backgrounds and with those distinctions come an array of influences. They listen to everything, they hang out everywhere (you can find girls), and want to hear and see more. With every album you can hear growth, digestion, and reinterpretation of myriad experiences and concepts. April 25th, Supreeme debuts nationally with their new album Supremacy (IN A NUTSHELL) SUPREEME IS LIKE..... *Supreeme is like the combination of James Bond, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, David Bowie, Peter Jennings, Fidel Castro, Neil Young, fine foreign chicks, Bunny Wailer, fly ass exclusive kicks, dark rum, 1996 and an oppressive government all mixed together in a rap format. It's pompous yet honest, fun yet respectable, whimsical but street, basically it's some fly shit.* We are SUPREEME the No.1 rhyme niggas around... period download some of these songs ( put em on your page if youd like) we're gonna update this regularly. Band/artist history
Spring 2003, Dope Pope and famous director Keneil Blake of Neilmatic Films got together to create the greatest boy band ever. They first sought out Sam Terrell who had put aside his rap dreams to work in the not so glamorous world of animal care. Sam Terrell was legendary around the Southern Rap Underground for his theatrics and flow fuckery. Dope Pope soon recruited him and cast him for the role of King Self. Next and last to join would be megarap baby Negashi Armada. It is rumored that at the age of one he memorized "Aint No Half Steppin". Keneil Blake found Negashi Armada burying boring underground rappers in a seedy nightclub in downtown Atl. Separated from his family and friends, Negashi jumped at the opportunity to work with such a renown director. Now that Supreeme had a drunken visionary (Dope Pope), a surly bastard wildcard (King Self) and a young maverick (Negashi Armada), they were ready to take on the world. In the summer of 2005, internationally feared rapper and talent scout MURS signed Supreeme to Record Collection. He told them to that they will never be a boy band so cut it out and just spit that fly shit. After a few days of tears and prayer, the boys agreed.
