Supernal
Supernal is an original alternative/rock band based in Calgary. The band is comprised of four members featuring Angela Saini (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) Brent Miller (vocals, bass guitar) Tony Gare (lead guitar) and Jeff Robertson(percussion).
Supernal has been together for almost three years, having being founded while the members were still in high school. In this time, Supernal has composed over 2 1/2 hours of solid original music as well as added some cover songs to their set.
Supernal has been seen and heard at many locations around the Calgary region. The band was recently added to the CJSW 90.9fm Radio station’s library and is in rotation on a number of shows. February 28, 2000 Supernal appeared live on A-channel’s “big breakfast show”. They have been also showcased at the Back Alley, Metro Nightclub, The Embassy, and made it to the ‘Bandwarz’ finals competition at Morgan’s on 17th and at the Unicorn. In May of 1999 the band organized, and performed in, a concert fundraiser for Kosovo refugees; the concert was featured on the Calgary 7 news. Additionally, the band has developed a very strong and loyal following since their formation that is still growing in numbers.
