Welcome to the Soul Lounge...Be cool baby!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I'm me. I have my own sound. I can't do southern, west coast, none of that. If you like what you hear, you'll know my influences. My beats aren't for everyone. I know that. If you can't dig my laid back groove, then this ain't for you baby. I've been doing this since the 90's. I started with an EPS-16 then an ASR-10. Before that, I had the usual Boss Dr. Rythem, and D.J. set up. I used to sample and chop loops but not anymore. I'm not trying to pay anyone royalties, so about 2 years ago I bought a synth module and learned to get down.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No, I only want to record.
Your musical influences
Slave, Honey, S.O.S Band, Earth Wind and Fire, Bar-Kays, Jimmy Castor Bunch, Roy Ayers, Grover Washington Jr., Sonny Stitt, Bob James, The Meters, Ohio Players, Chuck Brown, J.B.'s, Cameo, Ready for the World, The Time, Prince, oh and Big Daddy Kane. I sound nothing like any of these people, but they're all dope.
What equipment do you use?
I like Korg gear
Anything else?
This isn't a porno site. Damn, what else do you want? I'm very interested in working with some indie film producers, video games developers and commercials. The world could use something a little different.
