Sun-Rise(PBE)
Sun rose on the plains of the Serengeti during the month of the lion on the day of completion(12) in 1967. "I would be nothing without the Creator of the visible and unseen and the love and dedication of my parents". I was groomed in the Camden school and social systems. A life in Camden exposed me to the realities that media propaganda attempts to distort. In the late 70's, though already living the life, I was exposed to the musical _expression of Hip-Hop culture. I believe hip-hop enthusiast should consider the Bronx as the Mecca of the culture and perform a Hajj(pilgrimage) there at least once. After spending 1 year and a semester at Howard University I was awarded a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. A hip hop fundamentalist who believes the force of hip-hop can equal acceleration for the masses. Uhuru..."Amandla ngawethu" ("power to the people")
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have performed at Rutgers as well as Edward Waters College and the Kuumba festival in Jacksonville where I now reside.
