SunLitLaz
Explore herein and find out what you are missing. Just who is SunLitLaz you say? Simply put, a being put on this earth with the desire to make music. Good or bad is for the listener to decide. Take a journey, follow your path, listen to good music.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have come full circle. I started out playing by myself, then played with several bands including HouseRockin' John and the Hyper Brothers, TON-DEF, and Captain Howdy and the Spam Rangers. In my past I have played with some great musicians, shared the stage with well known artists, and had a lot of fun along the way. Now I am back to playing solo, and using technology to aid me in my quest for good music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I used to play live regularly, however life has a way of getting in between us and that we love. I'll play live again, and hopefully soon, as it's one of my favorite things.
My favorite moments would have to be when I have had the honor of sharing a venue with a hero, like Buddy Guy, W.C. Clark or meeting someone I admire like Webb Wilder or John Hammond.
Your musical influences
I love all types of music, however, if I were to list not simply those that I like, but those that had a great influence on me that would be Zakk Wylde, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, W.C. Clark, Jeff Healey, Paul McCartney, Megadeth, The Spin Doctors, Will Kimbrough, and all of the traditional blues legends to name but a few.
What equipment do you use?
For guitars I have a Fender strat, a Gibson SG and a Dean Evo. You can get a lot of great sounds from those. My main amps are a Mesa/Boogie DC-3 and a Peavey Stereo Chorus 212. I also play bass, and for bass guitars I use a Peavey Foundation five string and a Steinberger headless four string that is just lots of fun to play. My bass amp is a Fender BXR-150.
Anything else?
I love music. Playing music, singing tunes, listening to music. It's my true passion in life, and I hope you get some enjoyment from some of the things I have done.
