Sucks To Be You

A blend of a few elements. Punk, ska/reggae and rock in general.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It was 2001 and there were Sam, Dan and me in a little 3 piece band called Baka Hentai Chikan ('stupid abnormal pervert' in Japanese, I believe) without a drummer. I (re)met a guy I actually knew from primary school in the summer of 2002, just after finishing Sixth Form and before going to uni. To cut a long story short, he was called Mark, we convinced him to learn drums (on my sister's kit at first) and he wound up going to the same uni as me. Dan wasn't right for the band and moved away anyhow. So we were back to the basic three-piece. A trumpeteer known only as Alex (well I don't believe 'the Destroyer' is a real surname!) flirted with the band briefly (I use flirt as in 'attempted to play music with a bunch of misfits', but also he gave Sam some funny looks and once he touched my arm, on a couple of occasions). And currently, we struggle along like a bunch of charlatans.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Played a few shows in our hometown, Reading. All in a little intimate venue and we're not very well known but definitely a lot of fun. Our last show went great and we even made fans out of the hardcore band that played.
Your musical influences
Reel Big Fish, Mad Caddies, Jimmy Eat World, Less Than Jake, Suburban Legends, Rocket from the Crypt, The Offspring, Lit, Rx Bandits and Incredibad?
What equipment do you use?
Two of those guitar thingies. One is quite low and has four thick strings. The other does meedly mees and squeadly dees. And it sounds like Mark hits pots and pans with a sledgehammer.
Anything else?
Crank it or spank it!
