Suburban Underground Bimbos
Suburban Underground Bimbos (DK), or S.U.B, existed from 1991 to 1997. The songs available on this site are taken from thier demo's. The first studio recordings were made in Blålyd Studio in hometown Aalborg late 1992.
It was followed by 1994 demo called FRUITY TUNES (recorded in Cello Studio in Aalborg, Denmark) and the 1995 demo recorded in Baghuset, Aalborg.
The 1995 demo was found to be of low quality by the band. It was never released or used for promotion. So this is material never heard but by the bandmembers some 10 years ago. Titles from this rare recording are 'King', 'Insect in the amber' and 'Come to my world'. Last song featuring Marie (whats her last name?) on vocals.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed in Aalborg, Denmark 1991 as a trio (Thomas Kanstrup, Peter Max, Mads Ibsen). A year later drummer Kanstrup was exchanged for Sune Borg. After first demo in late 1992 in Blålyd Studio(Aalborg, Denmark) last member Christian Thinggaard joined. A demo in 1994 (Fruity Tunes) and 1995 (Baghuset) followed and finally a CD (Suburban Underground Bimbos) in 1996, recorded in Copenhagen. A final attempt of recording was made after S.U.B. split in 1997. The recording was to have been under the name Sounderground, but initiator Peter Max left for studies in the netherlands shortly after the onset of this project. He nows put out music under the name EX PMX. Look up Sounderground, SUB 2, Metro and EX PMX to hear other recordings from members of this band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
S.U.B. played about 30 concerts - among others a warmup concert for Reef in Vega (Cph) and Venue 97 with Agent Provacator.
