Subjective Well Being

Hi. We were Subjective Well Being, a three piece rock band from Hot Springs Village, AR. Even though we are no longer active, we are leaving this page up so that if anyone ever come across these tunes, they can still take a listen. We still check back here every once and awhile, so leave us a comment or a note and tell us what you think. Thanks for ten years of rock and roll!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We started in 2001 as a fairly boring pop-punk band. We were a four piece. We did that whole jazz for a bit. In 2004 our lead guitar quit and we decided to start over from scratch since none of could play his leads. That lead us to what you hear here. We recorded three records in our basement, played some shows, and stayed somewhat active until 2010, when time and life pretty much put an end to the band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We used to. Pretty much anywhere from poets lofts, punk clubs, to redneck bars.
Your musical influences
We all have vastly different influences. But we do agree on some artists, and it's those who somewhat shaped our sound. Those artists include, in no order, The Cure, The Smiths, Gary Numan, Siouxese and the Banshees, Sonic Youth, R.E.M., The Clash, Placebo, the Smashing Pumpkins, the Pixies and Liberace.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars, basses, drums, cymbals, mics and keyboards.
Anything else?
Thanks for any and all support over the past ten years. We appreciate everyone who came here and took a listen to these songs. Hope you like them.
