Witness the beginning of an era. STYL is a Hip Hop artist that grew up on the north side of Chicago and is currently residing in Northern Virginia area putting focus on the music. STYL was derived from frestyl originally, but after years went by, I was nicknamed styl. To put more meaning to it, I decided to make it a statement by capitalizing all letters and making it into an acronym. STYL is Seen Through You Lyrically, meaning there is a little bit of STYL in everybody. I was really influenced by everyone in the rap music industry for the last two decades so there is much truth in the statementBand/artist history
New artist.Have you performed in front of an audience?I am currently focused on writing music to record. I have not been on any tours or done performances of music that I have recently made but if the opportunity arises, I am sure I would take advantage of it.
Your musical influences
Since the early 1990s, I have been a big fan of Hip Hop music, so much that it inspired me to make hip hop music myself. For someone to say that they have no influences, they are saying that if hip hop was never in existence, they would have been the one that created it. To this day I still listen to it. Some artists I may listen to more than others, but that is the unique thing about the music. There are many variations of hip hop that exist, so much that some hip hop music can be looked at by another type of hip hop in the same way that a general hip hop listener feels about country music. That is one of the reasons why hip hop is surviving. All of it is relative and all of hip hop has helped mold me into the artist that I am today.What equipment do you use?
