StrongHold (IL)
Hey! We're StrongHold. We're made up of two 17 year old guys from Bloomington, IL, - Alex Garner and Ryan Marquardt.
We started StrongHold in March of 2004, but prior to that, we had wrote songs for a few years together, but never really did anything with them, because we were so young and just messed around with all that stuff for fun.
We're recording our first CD at the moment, thanks to Alex's cousin, Mark Lockett, who was in the band The Normals (check them out! they're GREAT!!!).
Alex does guitars and vocals, and Ryan does some piano and vocals.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We haven't played anywhere but church yet, but we're setting up to play at open mic nights all over town.
Your musical influences
Mostly anything acoustic.... we're all around guys... most everything, but country (while they do have some good lyrics, sometimes...) is all good with us.

CD's will be available once recording is over, which won't be much longer, and the CD's will have probably 9-10 songs. It will be $10, and ALL the proceeds go to some kids in Mexico that we met on a mission trip. (Those kids were the inspiration for our first song, Hope Avenue, and the inspiration for us to take our songwriting seriously.)
