Strobe
What's up everybody!?
As you are introduced to my site,
hopefully, you will become familiar with my music, and gradually come to understand and learn to appreciate the meaning behind it.
I am trying to bring it a raw flavor, yet still not too rough. Musically, often what I aim for is a sound in which listeners can listen to my content and understand struggle but also be able to have a layed back feel while hearing my tracks/songs. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even label my music as songs of struggle. I think that struggle is only a chapter in what I write. All in all, what you can expect from me as an artist, and musician, is life itself put to words and song.
ENJOY!!!!
**STROBE**
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've played in a local club called Studio 2001 and appeared in a showcase. Before I did that performance, I made an appearance at my school's talent show. (yr. 2003)
I have done poetry sessions twice, and even played in a pub 2 or three times. Other than this though, I haven't really performed much else.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
My 1st performance in Winter 2003 was in a talent show and, a few weeks later I performed 2 of my original works in a local club showcase. The experience of performing was exillerating!
Your musical influences
A lot of my influences are people such as The Beatles, DMX, The Ruff Ryders, Jimmi Hendrix, JAY-Z, Phil Collins, Aerosmith, Nickelback, Staind, Shakira, Robert Plant, NAS, Ms. Dynamite, Eminem, The Police, etc.
What equipment do you use?
So far, standard home studio software, a mixing board, Korg Drum Machine and a very nice microphone...
Anything else?
What I write is what I live,
but what I say is a message destined to be heard...
Hold me Down...
